| Analysis | Head-to-head record 2:2 Julien Benneteau will play Tommy Robredo of Spain in the second round of US Open tournament. Benneteau was a successful junior but has never met the expectations on senior circuit. He prefers clay and has always been weaker on faster surfaces. He had got some health problems in his first round match against Radek Stepanek (6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4). In the contrast Tommy Robredo demolished another Czech player – Lukas Rosol (6-4, 6-3, 6-1). There is no need to introduce Robredo and his tennis skills. He is experienced player but it´s clear that Robredo is not at his best. His latest results weren’t impressive and he is becoming too inconsistent. It is true that great matches are often followed by unbelievably poor ones, but he played solid matches with Nieminen, Berrer, Dent and Stakhovsky in hard court part of the season. We see the equal chances tonight and so we recommend going with Robredo with the odds around 2.3. |
