| Analysis | Head-to-head record 0:0 Peter Polansky of Canada will play American James Blake in the second round of US Open tournament. Peter uses his solid serve and powerfull backhand to win points from the baseline. He is an all-court player with great potential. He beated Melzer last week in Toronto and played solid match with Monaco in the first round here. James Blake is not in his greatest form - he has been producing incredibly high number of unforced errors in latest matches and had a low percentage of the first serve. This is just his hit-or-miss style of play - he shoots killing shots almost from everywhere trying to finish the rally as soon as possible. This is something he has been very successful with in past, especially on hard courts. When he has his day, he is almost unbeatable. Numerous unforced errors are usually accompanied by many winners and he wants to play a spectacular tennis all the time he is on court. Naturally, Blake is the favourite in this match but we think that Canadian can be competitive tonight. He is good at serve and volley tennis and loves playing on hard courts. We expect a tight match and some breakers could decide. We see some value on Polansky´s side. |
