| Analysis | Head-to-head record 1:2 2001 Quebec City Castano-Zakopalova 6-4, 6-4 2008 Berlin Castano-Zakopalova 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 2008 Ortisei Zakopalova-Castano 6-2, 6-4 For our next pick, we stay with WTA tour - we chose the clay court match between Catalina Castano of Colombia and Klara Zakopalova of Czech Republic. Catalina Castano hasn´t had the best season sofar. She played only clay court tournaments and she can't be satisfied with herself with the record of 3:3 on her best surface. But we think that her form is getting better – Catalina played some great matches in qualies here in Acapulco – she demolished Wienerova (7-5, 6-3), Alvarez Teran (6-3, 6-0) and Antoniychuk (6-4, 6-2). Klara Zakopalova is the average claycourter who has reached eight singles finals and won two tournaments (grass and hard) in her career. Her biggest win came at the 2009 in Marbella, where she defeated World. No. 1 and twelve time grand slam champion Serena Williams, 6–4, 3–6, 6–1. But this year is going different way for her - she lost to the likes of Errani, Hercog and Duque Marino. Klara has got birthday tommorow but we consider Colombian woman to be a favorite in this match and odds above 2 surely have value. |
