| Analysis | Head-to-head record 1:1 Spanish qualifier Santiago Ventura will play Austrian clay court specialist Daniel Koellerer. Santiago is a defensive baseliner. His groundstrokes, especially on the forehand side, are usually well placed. His speed and agility allow him to catch the balls practically anywhere in the court. As defensive baseliners are, he used to make a small number of unforced errors and is a consistent player. His game is well suited to dirt and we think he has the chance against Austrian today. He beated Dabul (3:6,6:3,7:6), Velotti (6:2, 6:4) and Hocevar (3:6, 6:4, 6:1) here in Buenos Aires qualies. Austrian player achieved his career-high ranking of no.57 in September, 2009 but he is still just an average player in our eyes and will probably never be a world-beater. He is a solid clay-courter but he shouldn’t be such a big favourite against Santiago. Anything above 2.2 is worth taking for us. |
