Analysis

Head-to-head record 1:0

Robin Haase is trying to come back after long lasting injury and will play experienced Spaniard Tommy Robredo in the first round at Rotterdam. There is no need to introduce Robredo and his tennis skills. He is much more experienced player than Haase but it´s clear that Robredo is not at his best. His latest results weren’t impressive and he is becoming too inconsistent for us. He is first up since the disastrous performance at Aussie Open and has no indoor practice for this one. We think he has been enormously lucky for all last year long and we don´t think he can have that luck in crucial moments henceforward. We think he could have troubles playing against offensive player such as Haase. Haase is naturally born heavy hitter and as an offensive minded player, he likes to play on hard courts. He failed to qualify for Zagreb last week but he will now be playing in front of his home crowd and if he manages to serve his best, this could be his match tonight. It is always difficult to break him when he has one of his days. Robredo is still favourite but the Dutch shouldn’t go above 3.
