Romanian youngster Niculescu will play another youngster - Austrian player Tamira Paszek in the first round at Miami Sony Ericsson Open. We were amazed by the way Paszek played in qualifiers here. She is playing in a solid shape and is full of self confidence at present – she destroyed South yesterday (6:1,6:0) and Yan in the first round (6:2,4:6,6:4). Her opponent will be the World No.55 Monica Niculescu who hasn’t met the expectations this season so far. She is 3-6 this year and her current form is questionable. Last week in Indian Wells, she was demolished by Groenefeld 3:6,0:6. Both of these girls enjoy offensive style of play and both of them are very ambitious but we expect Paszek to win here.
