Analysis

Head-to-head record 1:0 (New Haven 2005 7:6,7:6)

Experienced Dutch player Olivier Rochus will play with Igor Andreev from Russia. Both players are coming off the solid performance in Olympic games tournament. Igor Andreev prefers clay while his performance on fast courts usually isn´t impressive. Many consider him of having one of the best forehand in the business. His best Grand Slam performance is reaching the quarterfinals of the 2007 Roland Garros. He was born in Moscow but moved to Spain at 15 to train and live in Valencia and that is why he adopted clay court skills. Rochus is much more experienced and also played well in Beijing courts. He hasn´t had any success over the last few months and it seems like his best years are far behind him. He won his first round match against Korolev (6:4,6:4) and we think that his chances are better then the odds are saying. Odds above 3.0 can be taken here.
