Analysis

Head-to-head record 5:2 (4:0 clay encouters, 1:2 on hard courts)

Today will bring Russia Dinara Safina together with her countrywomen Elena Dementieva in the finals of women part of tennis tournament on olympics in Bejing.

Both players are well known to each other - they have met three times this year (two times on clay, once on grass) and Safina was always more successful. Still we think that Dementieva will win today. The first reason is her top form she has here on Beijing tournament. She also managed Wozniacki, S. Williams and Zvonareva on her way to finals. In all these matches she played excellent tennis, she avoided her problems with service and she has no lack of motivation.

Dinara Safina plays good-class tennis too in Beijing and she defeated Zheng, Jankovic and Na Li. There was visible fatigue on her in semifinal match with Na Li, surely strengthened by her attendance in doubles (the match Kuznetsova/Safina - Yan/Zheng ended previous day in the morning hours at 03:45).

We belive that Dementieva will defeat her countrywoman in decent odds...
