Analysis

Head-to-head record 1:1

An experienced French player, Severine Bremond will play Croatian qualifier in the first round at RG. On July 10, 2006, Brémond achieved a career-high singles ranking: World No. 65, following her success at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships, where she reached the quarterfinal of a Grand Slam event for the first time in her career—as a qualifier. On her run to the quarterfinal, Brémond defeated No. 10 Patty Schnyder in the second round for her first top 10 win, Gisela Dulko in the third round, and Ai Sugiyama in the fourth, losing to Justine Henin-Hardenne, the eventual finalist. But she has never managed to repeat this success and her form has been dropping since that time. She prefers fast surfaces and has 1-4 record at home Grandslam. Her career clay court record is far from being impressive and we don´t know why is she such a big favourite against the ambitious qualifier. Pandzic has a solid YTD record of 24-12 and her form graduated here in qualifiers. Of course, she is not a world beater but her odds are attractive bearing in mind the clay court abilities of her opponent. We will try to back Croat for a low stake.
