Many tennis experts have touted Querrey as America's next great talent, including Davis Cup Captain Patrick McEnroe. Querrey has a huge serve and forehand. He cracked the top 100 World Singles rankings following his third round performance at the Australian Open and is sometimes referred to as "The New Todd Martin." In March 2008 Querrey won his first ATP level tournament at the Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas. In the final Querrey defeated qualifier Kevin Anderson of South Africa in three tight sets. The next month, at the Monte Carlo Masters, Querrey surprisingly reached the quarter-finals, defeating former French Open champion Carlos Moya, Andreas Seppi, and number seven seeded Richard Gasquet. However, we saw those matches and weren´t impressed by his play though. His favourite surface is fast hard court as he doesn’t like the long rallies from the baseline. But this is something we can expect from his opponent, home player Oliver Marach. He is a solid clay court player and even if his current rank is not really the best, we think he will be competitive on the home soil and on the surface he likes. Odds above 2.7 can be taken here.
