Analysis for Cipolla-Roger Vasselin (ATP Estoril)

Flavio Cipolla from Italia will play Frenchman Roger Vasselin in the opening round. Both of these players have the similar playing style. They are defensive-minded players who play mainly from the baseline. Both of them feel good on clay but the head-to-head record and current form speak in favour of Italian. Cipolla cleaned up Vasselin in a clay challenger last year and we think is the favourite today as well. Vasselin likes to play against more offensive players than Cipolla and long rallies with tireless Italian are not what he is looking for. As we said, he has the best results against players who are offensive and often approach the net. He has good passing shots but Cipolla´s style shouldn’t suit to him.
