| Analysis | Head-to-head record 1:0 Juan Monaco of Argentina will face Dutch qualifier Robin Haase in the second round of Indian Wells tournament. Monaco is coming off several tournaments on clay and lacks match practice on hard courts. This surface isn´t his favourite one as his style play is best tailored for clay courts. Playing with a strong two-handed backhand, well-angled topspin strokes, fast mobility on the court, solid defense, and a preference to play from the deep court, he became one of the best clay court players in the game. His hard-court results on Oz soil weren´t convincing and he could have troubles playing against offensive player such as Haase. Haase is naturally born heavy hitter and as an offensive minded player, he likes to play on hard courts. Seems to be in a solid shape coming through the qualifiers here and if he manages to serve his best, this could be his match tonight. It is always difficult to break him when he has one of his days. We see the equal chances on both sides and current odds have a slight value for us. |
