| Analysis | Head-to-head record 0:0 Caroline Wozniacki is a Danish tennis prodigy born to Polish parents. She is generally considered to be one of the biggest talents in the world of tennis nowadays. Caroline is 17-years old and already achieved many successes, especially among juniors. She has won several junior tournaments (including the 2005 Orange Bowl), and made her debut on the WTA Tour at Cincinnati at the age of 15 in July, 2005. Last year, she then made the semifinals of Tokyo in October, her first career semifinals where Wozniacki lost to Venus Williams 6-3 7-5. On January 2nd, 2008, Wozniacki participated in an exhibition tournament in Hong Kong. She lost her first match to former no.1 Maria Sharapova in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. But she won the doubles's event with her parther the singles' champion Venus Williams. She is a versatile player with who is able to perform well on all surfaces. On the other hand, her opponent Gisela Dulko of Argentine is a pure claycourter. She is much more experienced but seems to be out of form currently. Last year, Dulko finally won her first WTA Tour title by defeating Sorana Cirstea of Romania in the final in Budapest. The next title followed soon as Dulko won her second WTA Tour title at the Forest Hills event defeating Virginie Razzano in the final. But this year, she is coming very short on matches as she played just one match and retired to Llagostera Vives. Both form and health of Argentine are questionable and we think that Wozniacki can make the first career success at senior Grand Slam event here. Odds above 2.0 can be taken here. |
