| Analysis | Head-to-head record 0:0 Italian Andreas Seppi will meet Harel Levy of Israel in the opening round. Seppi is currently one of the top Italian tennis players. He performs well on all surfaces. He considers his forehand his best shot, plays right-handed and has a double-handed backhand. Last year, Seppi has reached 1 final (Gstaad) in ATP Tour events this year, 2 semi finals (Sydney and Nottingham), and 3 quarter finals (Adelaide, Valencia and Zagreb). Seppi seems to be in a solid shape currently but his opponent will be Harel Levy who showed some great results in qualifiers here. Levy's best singles ranking was number 30 in the world in 2001. His best results include beating Pete Sampras and Michael Chang, reaching the singles finals in Toronto Masters Series and Nottingham, and winning a doubles title in Newport, Rhode Island. Levy suffered from an injury and hip surgery during his peak years, and has so far not recovered enough to play at his top level. But he is an experienced player who usually performs well on hardcourts and we think that he could be tried at odds above 3.5 for a small stake. |
