| Analysis | Head-to-head record 1:0 French veteran Fabrice Santoro will face Igor Andreev of Russia in the firt Metz round. Santoro is an experienced player with really unique style of play. He has unrivalled technique and sense of play but his shots lack power. That´s why he plays double-handed shots from both sides which may sometimes look ridiculous but his results prove that he is a great player. He is a double specialist but able to compete in singles as well. Former top 20 player can be dangerous on all surfaces and achieved several good indoors results in past. On the contrary, Igor Andreev prefers clay while his performances on fast indoor courts usually aren´t impressive. He played well in Davis Cup on clay but hasn´t appear on other surface since that clash. Both players are in a good shape but we believe that Santoro´s fast courts abilities are a bit better. He should be supported by the home crowd and even when we missed the best odds, we still try to back Santoro in this match. |
