| Analysis | Yaroslava Shvedova of Russia is a tall girl with aggressive style of play suited to fast surfaces. She made some good results this year (all of them were achieved on US hard courts) but her recent form is at least questionable. She lost 4 out of 4 last matches she played and Yuan Meng is actually last player beaten by Yaroslava Shvedova. This match was played qualifiers for Los Angeles tournament in August. Yuan Meng failed in the first US Open qualifying round and won both matches in qualifiers in Bali since their last meeting. She should currently be in a better shape than her Russian opponent and we think that it is going to be another tight battle with equal chances on both sides. Meng´s odds look interesting and we believe that she capable to hit back today and to defeat Shvedova in their second meeting. |
