| Analysis | Head-to-head record 2:1 Anna Chakvetadze represents incoming second generation of Russian tennis women. She has always been in a shadow of players such as Myskina, Dementieva, Kuznetsova or Petrova but now it seems to be her turn. She is currently having a great season with an excellent YTD record of 49-13. Furthermore, she plays in a good shape at present and she hasn’t face big troubles at Flushing Meadows so far. Her opponent will be Shahar Peer of Israel. She is also having a good year but her latest performances weren’t so impressive. She was very lucky against Vaidisova and made some poor results right before US Open. She was defeated by Govortsova, Mirza and twice by Razzano. Now she seems to be back but Chakvetadze should be more confident and we think she will prevail tonight. We recommend to bet on young Russian star at odds around 1.55 or to take a handicap bet. Chakvetadze should be able to win by more than 2 games. |
