Analysis

Head-to-head record 0:0

After yesterday's successful pick on Whitehouse we will visit tournament in Washington with the next pick again. The draw of the second round brought togehther Kei Nishikori of Japan and Julien Benneteau of France. 17 years old Nishikori is big surprise of the latest days and we think he can expect a great future. He has already played the finals of two smaller tournaments during this spring (Future series tournament and challenger tournament in Carson) and he managed to defeat players such as Sweeting, Warburg, Ram or Whitehouse. He hasn´t been performing well within the next tournaments, but got back in form in the right time at his biggest tournament sofar in Indianapolis. He won the match against Falla (6:4, 6:3) in the first round, defeated Berrer (6:3, 3:6, 6:1) in second and lost to the later winner Tursunov in third round (result 1:6, 4:6 does not seem convincing, but the second set was very tight and it did not need to much and they could play the third one). He defeated Gabashvili (7:6, 6:3) in the first round here in Washington.

Julien Benneteau is facing the big drop of form - he lost to Tsonga 0:3 at Wimbledon and lost to Querrey (6:7, 1:6) last week in Indianapolis. In addition, he has never played his best on American hard surfaces. Bigger warm up and form is surely on the side of young Japanese. Anyway, we decided for just 2-points bet, mainly because of his young age and the lack of experience.
