| Analysis | H2H 0:0 We are aware that Safin is a big favourite of this match but we still think he is a bit overvalued. Of course, Qureshi plays several levels bellow Safin but he likes to play on grass with full power and he has already proofed it several times in his career. He defeated Richard Gasquet in a very solid match 2 weeks ago and was impressive here in qualifiers as well. Well, his first-round opponent was Lee Childs who is far from being world class player but it is still tricky to play against him on his home soil. When talking about Quereshi´s results on grass, we must also mention one match from the last year. We saw him playing against Ancic in Hertogenbosh and he played an excellent match there. He lost in a very tight battle to the later-winner of this tournament. Safin is one of the biggest tennnis talents but his poor mental condition handicaps him a lot. He is able to beat anyone in the world when he has one of his days and when being in a good mood but he is also able to be defeated by anyone when not playing in a good shape. His YTD record is only average and long-term results on grass aren´t impressive as well. We must admit that he is a favourite for this match but odds againts him look invitingly. Pakistani odds above 4.5 are of some value for sure. We recommend a small stake in this case. Final result: 6:4,6:2,7:6 - wager lost |
