| Analysis | Head-to-Head record 0:0 Karin Knapp is an Italian rising star who has been playing in a very good shape lately and turned her first grandslam appearance into the very good result (she advanced into the 3rd round at Roland Garros). She is now about to face another trial by fire but has already made the first step by coming through the qualifiers on grass courts in Rosmalen. Knapp is a tall lady with decent serve, powerful flat shots from both sides and pretty good movement as well. Futhermore, her self-condidence a should be at the very high level at present. Karin will meet her country-mate Flavia Penneta in the opening round. It seems that Penneta´s best years are already gone and her self-confidence should currently be at the bottom. She has a horrible YTD record 9-13 and won just 1 match from last 10 appearances! We must also add that her style of play is all about excellent movement. She is as fast as flash but this seems to be her only big weapon as her shots lack pace. We think that younger Italian player should be a favourite in this match and odds above 2.0 are worth taking.
