Olga Govortsova is a Belorussian prodigy with bright future in front of her. She is 19 years old and even if she plays mainly on IFT circuit, her YTD record is impressive. She won 41 from 53 matches this year and came pretty easily through the qualifiers here in Birmingham. She seems to be in a good form and plays well on all surfaces. Her opponent will be the Czech player Eva Birnerova who has probably the worst season in her carrer. Her YTD record is 5-14 and she lost six matches in a row. She won the only match against Govortsova but it was on clay in 2006. She lacks self-confidence at all and we believe that she will be beaten by the young qualifier from Belarus in Birmingham´s opener. We expect Govortsova to win in straight sets and that is why we chose handicap bet here. Chances should be about 65:35 for Govortsova so the odds at this level are worth taking for us.
