| Analysis | Head-to-head record 0:0 Although Benjamin Becker won several matches on clay this year, we still think that he lacks match practise on this surface and he is inexperienced on clay. He spent most of his career on US hardcourts and those few matches he won this year were played on faster clay. He still has the problems with movement and it is simply impossible to change the style of play from one day to another. Moreover, he has never beaten any even mediocre claycouter in his carrer (he has defeated Zimonjic, Kunitsyn, Johansson, Nakic-Alfirevic and Arango on clay sofar). His opponent, Mathie Montcourt seems to play in a good shape - he played well in Portschach last week defeating Gulbis, Fisher and Mirnyi to be beaten by Spanish claycourter Albert Montanes. He will be supported by the home crowd and we believe that he will take advantage of friendly draw to achieve his life-time best result. He should be the bigger favourite in this clash and anything above 1.7 is worth taking here. Final result: 6:3,6:1,6:3 - wager won |
