| Analysis | In our eyes, the Swedish team is the clear favourite in this quartefinal clash. They have prepared really fast surface which should be, together with the home crowd, the main weapon of the Swedes. All of them have achieved their biggest successes on hard courts or grass. Their main weapons are really big serve and volley game. On the other hand, both Thomas Johansson and Robin Soderling have limited movement and their baseline shots are not the best. But the baseline movement is not the most important thing on this kind of surface. Soderling is definitely capable to win both matches (in case he will be forced to play the second one) and also Johansson can beat Bandy in the opening game. Argentinian number one is pretty far from playing the best tennis in his career and the chances to win the opening match seem to be equal. Moreover, Swedes have the best double player in the wolrd. Bjorkman is capable beat anybody in the world and especially on home courts he is unlikely to be defeated when playing doubles. We hope that Thomas Johansson will play with Bjorkman instead of Lindstedt whose results aren´t impressive even when he is considered to be a double specialist as well. We also have to mention, that in-form playing Canas is unlikely to be dangerous on this court because both Miami and Indian Wells tournaments have being played on much slower surfaces. That is why we consider Argentinian line-up with Del Potro to be a good decision. In spite of this, Swedes should advance to the semis and odds above 2 are of a big value for sure. |
